Rupert!!

Posted in: Misc, Guys

rupert

Who knew?!? Now that News Corp. owns MySpace, I guess it was only a matter of time before News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch took over. He’s up and running with a MySpace profile that features his pals Bill O’Reilly, Jack Bauer of 24, and American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee. Oh yah and peep Hillary Clinton’s comment.

Respect Your Father

Posted in: Misc, Guys

dadDid you know that your Dad is on MySpace? Well he is, and he’s not happy with you. When he’s not disappointed in your lazy ass, he’s busy working at Thompson Plastics, reading Fox News, and verbally abusing you. My Dad sent me this message:

I highly doubt that this is a worthwhile use of your time. If I were you, I’d be looking for a real damned job. I doubt anyone is looking to hire someone who is fiddling around on the Internet all day. Pack up your things and get out of my house.

Check out your dad’s blogs as well for some laughs.

Erotica LA Podcast

Posted in: Misc, Guys, Girls

davejennaDave Navarro gave us a heads-up on a podcast interview he did yesterday at the Erotica LA show. Interviewees include Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Jessica Jaymes, and Courtney Gains. Dave is definately a great interviewer and keeps the interviews on point, funny, and interesting. Move over Howard Stern, I think Dave is broadcast radio’s next big thing. Listen to the podcast yourself by clicking here.

Keep A Breast

keepabreast

Here’s a SpaceCadetz public service announcement. I want to take a quick minute to highlight a very noble and innovative organization called Keep A Breast that focuses on increasing awareness of breast cancer treatment and prevention. KAB raises money for other breast cancer organizations by making plaster casts of women’s torsos, which are then painted by fine artists and finally auctioned off as a beautiful and unique piece of art.

Keep A Breast describesw their concept best, so I’ll just cite it here:

This approach seeks to highlight the defeatable nature of breast cancer’s epidemic-like presence by showcasing the beauty and strength within the female form. The breast casts that are created on women of all shapes and then customized by artists of all types, are physical representations of a simple truth — while breast cancer attacks all women without prejudice, it is also the powerful individual present in all women that will conquer it.

Word. Keep A Breast has already toured all over the country and will be found on the Vans Warped Tour this summer, so be sure to stop on by and support this wonderful organization. Check out below the KAB footage from last year’s events and go to www.Keep-A-Breast.org for more info.

Spock 2.0

Posted in: Misc, Guys

spockIt’s so true, Spock was the first person to throw it up for the Westside with his “Live long and prosper” Vulcan gangsign. Well it looks like Spock has decided to continue his pop-culture pioneering and step his game up yet again with the new Spock - Spock 2.0. Ok, I’ll drop the lame act, but there is a Spock 2.0 profile that I came across on MySpace. All you Trekkies reading this (are the any?) will love this profile. Spock 2.0’s tagline reads “See How I’m prosperin,’” for starters. Anyway, the profile is a promotional piece for an even geekier endeavor called Star Trek 2.0. There you can play the “Spock Market,” a realtime Star Trek stock exchange. Buy shares of Kirk or sell shares of McCoy. That’s it, I’m going to end this post right there and deem it officially as the lamest one in SpaceCadetz history.

The Most Important Blog Ever For Men

Posted in: Misc, Guys

kevinsprettyIt’s true. This may be the most important blog entry on MySpace for the guys out there. Myspace member Kevin’s “Freaking” Pretty has written about the normally taboo subject of male pubic hair. Yes, you read that correctly. For females, the different styles are well-known and are widely referenced in pop culture. But for men….hmmmmm. Kevin takes matters into his own hands (no pun intended) and decides to make his own nicknames for the various hair styles down under. My favorite is easily the Chuck Norris. Read blog on Kevin’s profile. Hilarious stuff.

Tranny Force

Posted in: Misc, Guys, Girls, Video

Let it be known, this is officially the weirdest anything I’ve come across on MySpace. Tranny Force is a comedy film series about 3 “normal” guys who transform into superhero transvestites and save the world’s glamour. There are currently 3 films in the series; Episode 1: Cirque De So Gay, Episode 1.5: A Very Tranny Chirstmas and Episode 2: Shade Inc! Their ‘Skits On Crack’ series has spoofed such shows as America’s Next Top Model and The Ashlee Simpson Show. This truly is one of those “must see to believe” things. I leave you with Tranny Force’s spoof of America’s Next Top Model. If by chance you like what you see, check out www.trannyforce.com for more.

Richard May of Pixelsurgeon

Posted in: Guys, Art

richardmayIf you are a part of the creative world, then the website Pixelsurgeon is a brand name. Pixelsurgeon is the brainchild of Richard May, a commercial illustrator, who, along with Jason Arber and Rina Cheung, envisioned an internet destination that covered a wide range of topics that include art, music, technology, and culture. Today, Pixelsurgeon is a collective of well over 50 individuals who contribute to the site on a regular basis. It’s chock full of news, interviews, reviews that are so good you’ll find yourself coming back everyday. Check out their review on the Da Vinci Code movie, and interview of comic book artist/writer/publisher Liam Sharp. And of course don’t forget to take a look at Richard’s personal website where you can view his portfolio of illustrations that are in demand by everyone from Vogue, Sony Style, Nordstrom, and Time Magazine.

There are many imitators, but only one Fonzworth Bentley. Diddy’s old butler has got his own gig going and apparently has a debut album coming soon. You can listen to a few tracks over at his website www.fonzworthbently.net.

blacktom

I had no idea this guy existed, but apparently there is room for more than one Tom on MySpace. I present to you “Black T0m.” Yes, that’s a zero in place of the letter O. Apparently this guy has a growing cult fan base on MySpace. Add him!
