This is a hilarious voice over of a Condoleeza Rice interview on TV. Who knew the Secetary of State used such foul language?

Chris Anthony

Posted in: Art

chrisanthonyHow many photographers can lay claim to having “retired” at the age of 17 after shooting rock bands for pretty much every major music magazine in circulation? The thought of doing so is mind-boggling, but Chris Anthony decided to move on and take his talents elsewhere. A little while later Chris re-emerged as a director of music videos (Dandy Warhols), commercials (Deutche Telekom), and other various short films.

Well Chris has decided to make a return to his photography roots, and has pieced together a collection of works called “Red, White, Black, and Blue.” The monochromatic black and white photos have a sinister feel to them that serve to emphasize the politically-charged message behind the images.

Chris’ website www.Chris-Anthony.com is a must-see if you want to view more of his work, both photographic and video.

upd

It all began in 1998 for budding filmmakers Andrew Hines and Alex van Helvoort when they started the entity known as Urban Peace Division. From its humble beginnings, UPD has now evolved into a small and tightly-knit international collective of individuals that are really making their mark on the film scene. In 2005, UPD filmed a documentary on global climate change called “The Changing Tides,” and are now filming music videos for indie bands Smile Smile, The Museum Pieces, and Thee More Shallows. They also have another full-length project under wraps so stay tuned for that. Visit www.UrbanPeaceDivision.com for more info.

Ellis G.

Posted in: Art, Video

The creator of so-called “shadow art,” the ex-graffiti artist and New York resident Ellis G. now makes his mark on the streets with chalk. After an unfortuate mugging on his way home from work at night, Ellis became mesmerized with the image of a shadow on the sidewalk. He began tracing the shadows of random objects and in the past few months has outlined thousands of objects. During certain hours of the day, the outlines makes no sense to the casual observer and reactions range from curiosity to confusion. Check out the video below to see what I’m talking about.

Stuntkid

girlsareprettyOk, so Jason Levesque aka Stuntkid is pretty damn talented. I wish I had something more clever to say, but it’s the truth. Stuntkid does it all from illustration, photography, and webdesign. His body of work in each of those categories is simply stunning and I highly suggest you take a few minutes and check it out.

But you’re probably wondering, Scott, you say every artist is mad talented, so why should I bother in this case? Well allow me to retort!! Jason’s expertise in web design has landed him in Web Designer Magazine no less than 6 times, he just published a book of his illustrations caled “Girls Are Pretty,” and his photography portrays women in a light that you’ve simply never seen before. Good enough? Ok, now go.
